Danger
Danny Goldfarb

World-class city, small town
Mass shootings
“Kill the jews”
Poland is in ruins
We were far away from it.

Halt, jew!
The search is over.
Documents and Stamping
Black Market Business
Bunker, ghetto, courtyard.
Gestapo, their hatred was so blind.

Holocaust, hardships...
Barracks, gas chambers...
Have puzzled the world.
Walking dead, skeletons, vermin, worthless jew,
“We should hang you right here on this spot.”
They were grabbing jews,
“I am not going to die, and I won’t die here.”
“We just need to get rid of all you jews.”
They’ve taken four jews away,
They hanged there one full week.

It was terrible cold
Many others got frostbite wounds.
We jews only get only a crust of bread and a little soup.
Hardships, hatred, holocaust.

Most of my words and phrases were based on the danger of the holocaust so I wrote my poem about the conditions of the concentration camps. In my poem, a jew tells a story of his experience. He was stopped by the gestapo and brought to a camp. He writes about how he was mistreated by the Nazis and how he got minimal food and harsh living conditions.
